ज़िन्दगी सिर्फ गुजारने का नाम है तो मैं सिर्फ गुजारना नहीं चाहता इतना लम्बा याराना निभा रहे हो पहले से खफ़ा ही थे या अब जता रहे हो सोता हूँ तो सपने भी तेरे आये वहां भी तुम खफ़ा हो तो मैं सोना भी नहीं चाहता | ज़िन्दगी सिर्फ गुजारने का नाम है तो मैं सिर्फ गुजारना नहीं चाहता || यादों को कागज़ पर उतारता हूँ खुद ही लिखता ओर खुद ही समेटता हूँ यादों में बाते तुम्हारी फिर से सुनाई सी देती है और फिर से बहुत कुछ खोने का अंदेशा देती है कुछ खोने और कुछ पाने के बीच में फिर से तुम्हे भूल जाऊं मैं ऐसा कुछ पाना भी ना चाहता | ज़िन्दगी सिर्फ गुजारने का नाम है तो मैं सिर्फ गुजारना भी नहीं चाहता ||
